Gary Gensler (born October 18, 1957) is an American government official and former investment banker who served as chairman of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. Gensler previously led the Federal Reserve, Banking, and Securities Regulatory Agency review team in the Biden-Harris transition. He is also Professor of Practice at MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
